The Vermont Chamber of Commerce has declared the Brandon Independence Day Celebration as one of the Top Ten Events of the Summer. The day long celebration will be held on July 5th in 2008, the first Saturday of July. The Parade begins at 1 pm but the park opens at 9:00 am for activities, games, music, and food. The fiddler's contest is in Central Park following the parade. Activities, food and fireworks at dusk at Park Village (1-1/2 miles north of town on Route 7 - the former Brandon Training School).
