Tuition: $190.00 Adv. Beginner/Adv.
This five day course will concentrate on advancing the student artist’s ability to observe nature and interpret it ... to get what is seen translated onto a flat surface (the painting or drawing) and working with it to develop an image that the artist can interpret with color, texture and technique. We will work individually on problems in perspective, color and technique as the student requires. I hope to make every student feel that they have made progress in the quest for their own vision in their work. A materials list will be sent upon registration. Please specify what medium you will be working with – oil, acrylic or watercolor.

This year we will be making The Fashion Doll, which is a 12 inch all cloth doll designed by Gail Wilson. She will be painted, so some experience in painting is necessary. Her clothing is a two piece outfit with a bonnet. Her wig is made of mohair and is first covered by a snood which can be crocheted. More clothing patterns will eventually be available through Gail Wilson’s shop. Gail has done a paper maché version of this doll as an online class which can be seen on her website gailwilsondesigns.com. Her pattern for this doll will be available the first of the year. This will be another great doll to add to your collection. The class will be fun as usual, and it is a great way to meet other doll makers. Hope to see you this summer. Instructor will mail supply list upon registration.
