From rollicking fiddle breakdowns to mountain ballads to hillbilly blues, the energetic old-time string band Run Mountain breathes new life into American roots music. Equally at home performing at festivals, coffeehouses, country fairs, or square dances, and adding "zing" to special events, Run Mountain combines the musicians' talents into an exciting and engaging ensemble featuring powerful vocals accompanied by banjo, fiddle, guitar, harmonica, ukelele with flatfoot dancing to boot. Run Mountain is kicking off Brandon's Soar Summerfest weekend with an ol' time square dance and you won't want to miss them.

| Formed in 1998 by 3 professional musicians with a combined experience of over 100 years in various bands (including bass man Billy Bratcher's one year stint in 1997 with Wayne "The Train" Hancock), The Starline Rhythm Boys are a drummerless "Tennessee Trio", consisting of Danny Coane ("Little Danny C") on acoustic rhythm guitar, Big Al Lemery on electric lead guitar and "Slappin" Billy Bratcher on acoustic upright "slap" bass, in the style of Elvis', Johnny Cash's and Carl Perkins' early bands. The Starline Rhythm Boys perform vintage country, honky-tonk and rockabilly with very strong country harmony duet vocals. Their repetoire consists of many superb originals, mainly written by Bratcher, as well as great covers of classic and obscure numbers. They are a band with an outstanding sound, style, energy, stage presence and appearance. They have played many different venues, including clubs, local concerts, major theater concerts, private parties, business functions and wedding receptions. They have also appeared on radio and TV. Vermont Magazine labelled them "Vermont's House Band". |
